Security Analyst

LaSalle Network is partnering with a Manufacturing Company to help them hire an experienced Security Analyst to join their team.

Job Title: Security Analyst
Location: Irving, TX 3 days onsite
Compensation: $100k-120k/year depending on experience
Direct Hire opportunity, no sponsorship is being offer at this time

Job Summary:
We are seeking a Security Analyst to identify and mitigate security risks, implement effective security measures, and respond to security incidents. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of cybersecurity frameworks, hands-on experience with security tools and technologies, and a background in vulnerability management and incident response. This role is critical to safeguarding our organization’s information assets and ensuring compliance with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Cybersecurity Frameworks

• Implement and maintain cybersecurity practices aligned with industry frameworks such as NIST and ISO 27001.

• Conduct regular audits and assessments to ensure compliance with security protocols.

Security Tools and Technologies

• Use tools such as IDR/MDR/XDR, firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and SIEM to monitor and protect the IT environment.

• Leverage platforms including Rapid7 InsightVM, SIEM, and IDR/MDR/XDR solutions.

• Utilize Darktrace for email and web protection.

Vulnerability Management & Incident Response

• Perform vulnerability assessments and manage remediation efforts.

• Respond to security incidents, conduct root cause analyses, and implement corrective actions.

• Maintain and update incident response plans and procedures.

Compliance & Standards

• Ensure organizational compliance with relevant standards and regulations, including HIPAA, PCI DSS, and GDPR.

• Support internal and external audits related to cybersecurity.

Analytical Thinking & Problem Solving

• Analyze security alerts and reports to identify threats and vulnerabilities.

• Recommend and implement solutions to reduce risk and strengthen the security posture.

Communication

• Prepare detailed reports and presentations on security incidents and findings.

• Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field.

• Experience: 5+ years in cybersecurity, information security, or a related field.

• Certifications: Preferred certifications include CISSP, CISM, CEH, or equivalent.

• Technical Skills:

• Proficient in cybersecurity frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001)

• Hands-on experience with security tools and platforms:

• Rapid7 InsightVM, SIEM, IDR/MDR/XDR

• Darktrace email and web protection

• Strong knowledge of vulnerability management and incident response

• Familiarity with regulatory compliance standards (HIPAA, PCI DSS, GDPR)

• Soft Skills:

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

• Excellent verbal and written communication

Ability to work independently and as part of a remote team
