LaSalle Network has partnered a leading payment solutions company, and they are seeking a dedicated Payments Specialist to join their team in Brentwood, TN. This is a hybrid role reporting to the Brentwood office.

Payments Specialist Responsibilities:

  • Post customer payments to their respective accounts accurately and efficiently

  • Batch payments for the cash application process

  • Apply and reconcile payments using supporting documentation based on established guidelines

  • Proactively match invoices to payments to minimize receivables aging

  • Identify delayed or incorrectly posted payments and ensure corrections are made promptly

  • Maintain and monitor daily logs of receipts and unapplied payments

  • Meet and exceed daily and monthly productivity expectations

  • Monitor mailboxes and process incoming requests in a timely manner

  • Research and resolve payment discrepancies with accuracy and professionalism

  • Balance required bank accounts throughout the day and at close of business

Payments Specialist Requirements:

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in accounts receivable, payment applications, customer service, or accounting (education and experience combinations will be considered)

  • Demonstrated proficiency with computers and 10-key typing

  • Strong data entry skills with excellent accuracy and attention to detail

  • Fast learner who follows instructions and adapts to management direction

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills

  • Strong organizational skills and accurate record keeping abilities

What We Need Corpay is currently looking to hire a Payments Specialist supporting our Comdata line of business located in Brentwood, TN. In this role, the Payments Specialist is responsible for handling all aspects of customer payments in order to ensure accurate and timely posting and application to their respective accounts.

 

How We Work As a Payments Specialist, you will be expected to work in a hybrid environment reporting to our Brentwood, TN office location.

· Posting customer payments to their respective accounts

Qualifications & Skills

· One year of experience in any related field of accounts receivable, payment applications, customer service, or accounting is required.

· A combination of education and/or experience will be considered for the requirements listed above.

· Demonstrated proficiency at computer and 10 key typing

· Strong data entry aptitude

· Fast learner who follows instructions and responds to management direction

· Excellent telephone etiquette and customer service skills

· Good interpersonal, organizational, and oral/written communications skills

· Ability to prioritize multiple tasks

· Accurate record keeping skills

· Strong attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

· Strong interpersonal skills are needed to professionally discuss payment concerns with customers both internal and external

· Must be detail oriented

· Strong problem resolution and analytical skills.

· Proficient with Microsoft Office applications
