About the Role:
Our client, a leading manufacturer with a strong reputation for innovation and quality, is seeking a Senior Accountant to join their finance team. This role plays a key part in the month-end close process, financial reporting, forecasting, and supporting operational accounting activities across multiple sites. The ideal candidate will bring strong manufacturing accounting experience, ERP expertise, and the ability to collaborate across departments to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:

Lead the month-end close process, including posting and documenting journal entries within a 4-day cycle.

Prepare and analyze monthly Purchase Price Variance (PPV) reports; partner with purchasing to address variances.

Ensure accuracy of monthly balance sheet reconciliations and distribute management reports.

Develop quarterly forecasts for both the balance sheet and income statement.

Perform quarterly analyses of excess & obsolete inventory and warranty reserves; review results with Plant and Dealer Channel Controllers.

Participate in annual physical inventory counts across 3 sites, coordinating staffing, analyzing variances, and working with auditors.

Provide supporting documentation for quarterly and annual external audits.

Assist with SAP enhancements, module implementations, and upgrade testing.

Collaborate with Controllers to strengthen internal controls and support Sarbanes-Oxley compliance initiatives.

Contribute to the development and refinement of accounting policies and procedures.

Take on special projects and additional responsibilities as needed.
Qualifications:
-
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.

3–5 years of experience in manufacturing accounting.

Proficiency in ERP systems; SAP S4HANA experience preferred.

Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, financial modeling).

Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs when assisting with physical inventory.
