Our client, a music organization, located in Nashville, TN; is in need of a (1 year) Contract Lead Developer. Their ideal candidate will be an expert-level developer who is ready to jump in and let their technical leadership make an impact! The pay for this role is around $65/hour (benefits included). Are you an experienced Lead Developer looking for your next long-term opportunity in Nashville? We’re partnering with a top-tier organization on a 12-month contract to add a hands-on, technically proficient Lead Developer to a fast-moving Agile team. This is a hybrid role with a rotating in-office schedule (Monday–Thursday) and remote work on Fridays. Candidates must already be located in the Nashville area for consideration.
About the Role:
You’ll join a core development team focused on enhancing and maintaining a large-scale enterprise application. In this role, you’ll work alongside engineers, business users, and cross-functional stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions while mentoring junior team members and ensuring best practices.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Designing and building cloud-native applications in AWS (Redshift & Aurora PostgreSQL)
- Leading back-end and front-end development using NestJS, Angular, and PHP
- Collaborating on GitLab-based workflows
- Optimizing data storage, retrieval, and cost efficiency
- Integrating diverse data sources (APIs, databases, streaming platforms) into enterprise data environments
- Required Skills & Experience:
- 5+ years of experience with AWS, specifically Redshift and Aurora PostgreSQL
- 5+ years with non-AWS tools including NestJS, Angular, and PHP
- 2+ years with GitLab (or similar tools such as GitHub, Bitbucket, etc.)
- Strong experience optimizing data storage for performance and cost
- Deep understanding of data integration strategies across varied sources
- Additional Details:
- Interviews include a technical screen and a team interview
- Onsite written technical evaluation required as part of the final round
- Must be comfortable working in a collaborative Agile environment
- Familiarity with development best practices and performance monitoring is a plus
- Use of AI tools during the evaluation process is not permitted
