Incident Analyst (Full Time Contractor)
Our client in the food and beverage distribution industry is seeking an Incident Analyst to join their dynamic IT Service Center team. This hybrid position is based in Rosemont, IL and blends onsite collaboration with remote flexibility—plus a rotational on-call schedule that allows you to work fully remote while on call.
In this role, you’ll lead the response to major incidents across the enterprise, partnering with cross-functional teams to quickly restore normal operations. You’ll take charge of incident calls, keep stakeholders informed, and ensure root causes are identified and resolved—driving a culture of service excellence in a fast-paced environment.
Incident Analyst Responsibilities:
- Serve as the lead coordinator for major incidents, managing communications and progress until resolution
- Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation (two weeks per month, fully remote during on-call)
- Conduct root cause analysis, track corrective actions, and prevent repeat incidents
- Develop and maintain incident and problem management policies, processes, and documentation
- Create and analyze reports to measure response efficiency and incident trends
- Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to meet service level expectations
Incident Analyst Requirements:
- Strong command of ITIL best practices (ITIL v4 certification strongly preferred)
- Proficiency in ServiceNow and familiarity with incident management tools like Everbridge
- Excellent communication skills with a confident, decisive presence in high-pressure situations
- Experience with Microsoft 365; Power BI a plus
- Ability to work effectively with diverse teams across multiple business units
