Join a global leader in food packaging and processing solutions. Our client is hiring a Field Service Engineer to support food packaging equipment installations, maintenance, and troubleshooting across North America. This remote role (Midwest preferred) requires up to 80% travel, typically three weeks on-site followed by one week remote. Responsibilities include equipment commissioning, on-site support, remote technical assistance, and occasional trade show participation. Candidates should have strong mechanical/electrical skills, excellent customer service, and flexibility to travel. This is a hands-on, customer-facing role requiring strong technical ability and excellent communication. Experience in food manufacturing is a plus. A valid driver’s license and passport are required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform on-site installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and commissioning of equipment

  • Provide technical support remotely (help desk) during off-site weeks

  • Deliver customer training on proper equipment use and maintenance

  • Collaborate with project managers and engineers to ensure project timelines and quality standards

  • Maintain accurate service documentation and reports

  • Represent the company professionally during site visits and industry trade shows

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of technical service or field engineering experience

  • Strong mechanical/electrical troubleshooting skills

  • Exceptional customer service and communication skills

  • Willingness to travel 80% of the time; valid driver’s license and passport required

  • Comfortable working independently in high-pressure environments

  • Familiarity with food manufacturing/packaging equipment a plus

  • Spanish/English bilingual preferred, but not required

  • Must reside in the Midwest (WI, IL, OH, PA, etc. ideal)
