Job Title: Clinical Meditech Analyst

Job Summary:
The Clinical Meditech Analyst is responsible for the support, analysis, development, and maintenance of MEDITECH’s clinical applications and procedures. This role ensures seamless operation of clinical systems, facilitates upgrades, provides user support, and collaborates with both internal and external stakeholders to enhance the functionality and efficiency of clinical applications.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Application Support & Maintenance:

  • Provide ongoing support for clinical applications, ensuring optimal performance.
  • Troubleshoot issues, analyze problems, and initiate corrective actions as needed.
  • Offer direct user support (in-person or over the phone) for both test and live applications.
  • System Upgrades & Enhancements:

  • Collaborate with internal departments and external vendors to assist in installing application upgrades and enhancements.
  • Develop and implement conversion plans, including communication and testing for system changes.
  • Training & Education:

  • Conduct in-service training and assist with continuing education on software to ensure users are up-to-date.
  • Perform user training and provide support during system implementations.
  • System Configuration & Documentation:

  • Configure, modify, test, and maintain clinical applications.
  • Develop thorough knowledge of specific clinical application areas and write/maintain system documentation.
  • Create clear, concise user manuals and instructional materials.
  • Collaboration & Project Management:

  • Assist in identifying system requirements, determining objectives, and establishing timelines and budgets.
  • Participate in and guide the design, testing, implementation, and ongoing maintenance of clinical/technical applications.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to understand workflow and business requirements, and modify systems to meet these needs.
  • Continuous Improvement:

  • Maintain high interaction with clinical areas to improve patient care through system enhancements.
  • Stay informed on the latest trends in clinical applications and healthcare technology.
  • On-Call Support & Meetings:

  • Share on-call duties with other IT staff to provide after-hours support as needed.
  • Coordinate and participate in internal and external user group meetings.
  • Compliance & Ethical Behavior:

  • Maintain confidentiality and uphold ethical standards in all aspects of the role.
  • Additional Duties:

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in healthcare or clinical application software.
  • Minimum of three years of experience with MEDITECH Applications.
  • Technical Skills:

  • Proficient in using Windows operating system and Microsoft Office tools.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify and resolve issues efficiently.
  • Communication & Interpersonal Skills:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with users and team members.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Problem-Solving & Initiative:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address and resolve system-related issues.
  • Self-motivated with a proactive approach to learning and improving healthcare technology systems.
  • Adaptability & Flexibility:

  • Willingness to work non-standard and/or extended hours as necessary to support system implementations and upgrades.
