We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Cash Posting Specialist to support our healthcare operations onsite in Wichita, KS. This is a hands-on position that plays a critical role in maintaining financial accuracy and supporting revenue cycle functions.
Location: Wichita, KS (Onsite Required)
EMR systems: Meditech, Cerner
Job Type: Temp (6 month project opportunity for extension)
Pay Range: $20-23 per hour
Flexible Start Time: 7:00 AM – 8:00 AM ET
Key Responsibilities:
- Open and process onsite payer correspondence.
- Post transactions within host systems such as Starr, Cerner, and Meditech
- Process payer lockbox transactions
- Work exception queues and resolve discrepancies
- Handle refunds, overpayments, and recharge checks
- Index, batch, and physically manage mailed documents
- Contribute to updating and developing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
Requirements:
- Experience in cash posting and revenue cycle operations
- Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work efficiently across multiple systems and data sources
- Comfortable providing process feedback and participating in SOP creation
- Reliable, professional, and able to work independently onsite
