Business Unit Director of IT Responsibilities:
- Lead IT strategy and operations across manufacturing and delivery programs, ensuring uptime, reliability, and security of mission-critical systems
- Oversee multiple IT teams, driving performance, career development, and digital leadership capabilities
- Implement and mature smart factory initiatives including IoT, MES/SCADA, robotics, edge computing, and AI/ML
- Collaborate with corporate technology leaders to execute a two-year digital strategy roadmap aligned with enterprise priorities
- Ensure compliance with cybersecurity, IT governance, and audit standards, maintaining defense-grade requirements
- Manage budgets, ROI analysis, and value realization across digital transformation initiatives
- Act as a change agent for continuous improvement and organizational agility, aligning IT capabilities with evolving business imperatives
Business Unit Director of IT Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree with 10+ years of IT leadership experience, including 5+ years managing teams
- Proven expertise in IT strategy, financial planning, digital transformation, and governance frameworks (ITIL, COBIT)
- Strong knowledge of smart factory, ERP, and advanced manufacturing technologies
- Excellent leadership, storytelling, and communication skills with ability to influence at all levels
- Active experience with agile methodologies, data analytics, and risk management
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree
- Background with Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies
