We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Benefits Specialist to join our team onsite in downtown Chicago. In this role, you will serve as the go-to resource for employees and leadership on all things benefits, from enrollment to compliance. Key Responsibilities:

Lead and administer open enrollment processes, ensuring accurate communication and seamless execution.

Manage all day-to-day HRIS transactions, including benefit changes, enrollments, and terminations.

Serve as the liaison between employees and insurance carriers, addressing questions and resolving issues in a timely manner.

Partner with leadership to evaluate and select health, dental, vision, life insurance, and retirement plan options (401k/403b).

Oversee and track all leave of absence programs (FMLA, ADA, short/long-term disability), ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations.

Provide ongoing benefits education to employees through presentations, one-on-one support, and written materials.

Collaborate with payroll to confirm accurate deductions, contributions, and reporting.

Stay current on compliance requirements and industry best practices to keep programs competitive and compliant.
What We’re Looking For:

3+ years of experience in benefits administration or a similar HR function.

Strong hands-on experience with HRIS systems (ADP or similar).

Knowledge of leave management (FMLA, ADA) and regulatory compliance.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to explain complex benefit programs in a clear and supportive way.

Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
