You’ll oversee the Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Treasury teams, managing day-to-day activities while constantly pushing for improvements. If you’re ready to optimize, automate, and energize core financial functions, this is your shot.
Accounting Manager Responsibilities:
- Direct and develop a team of accounting professionals across AP, AR and Treasury
- Manage daily financial transactions including billing, payments, collections and reconciliations
- Drive process improvements that enhance accuracy and streamline workflows
- Own the month-end close process and ensure clean, timely reporting
- Serve as the audit liaison, preparing documentation and maintaining compliance
- Oversee cash flow operations and reporting in partnership with banking institutions
- Collaborate across departments to solve issues and align operations
Accounting Manager Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA a plus
- 5+ years of progressive experience in accounting, with 2+ years in a leadership role
- Proficiency with ERP/accounting systems like NetSuite, SAP, or Oracle
- Proven ability to manage multiple transactional accounting functions
- Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills
- A track record of process improvement and team development
The salary range for this role is $120,000 to $135,000, plus bonus. ?A comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off, medical / dental / vision insurance, and 401(k) to eligible employees. The position is a hybrid role in downtown Chicago.
