Reports to: Accounts Payable Supervisor / Accounting Manager
Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Entry-Level Accounting Associate to join our Finance team, with a primary focus on Accounts Payable. The ideal candidate will support daily invoice processing, vendor communication, and ensure timely and accurate payments. This is a great opportunity for recent graduates or individuals starting their accounting career to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities:

Review, verify, and process incoming invoices and employee expense reports

Ensure proper approvals, coding, and documentation are in place before payments

Match purchase orders, receiving documents, and invoices (3-way matching)

Prepare and process weekly check runs, ACH payments, and wire transfers

Maintain accurate vendor records and respond to vendor inquiries promptly

Assist with month-end closing by reconciling accounts payable transactions

Help maintain organized and complete files for audit and compliance purposes

Assist with year-end 1099 preparation and reporting

Support other accounting team functions as needed
Qualifications:

Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or currently pursuing)

Basic understanding of accounting principles and accounts payable processes

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications

Ability to work independently and in a team environment

Good written and verbal communication skills

Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP) is a plus
