Applications Engineer – CNC Machining

Are you passionate about precision manufacturing and love working hands-on with CNC machines? We’re looking for a detail-driven Applications Engineer to play a key role in supporting machining processes, optimizing part production, and collaborating with customers and technical teams to deliver innovative manufacturing solutions.

In this role, you’ll blend technical programming, machine setup, and real-world problem-solving. You’ll be instrumental in delivering turnkey solutions, supporting demonstrations, and helping improve machining performance from the ground up. If you thrive in fast-paced environments, enjoy continuous learning, and have a strong foundation in machining, this role could be the perfect fit.

What You’ll Do:

  • Support CNC machining applications in collaboration with experienced engineers

  • Configure fixtures, work holding, and tooling for demos and customer projects

  • Estimate cycle times and determine speeds, feeds, and material removal rates for parts

  • Program CNC machines using conversational controls, CAM software, and G-code/Macro programming

  • Set up machines with proper tooling, workpieces, and programming

  • Inspect completed parts to ensure precision, quality, and accuracy

  • Document processes and generate technical reports and project notes

  • Communicate with customers, suppliers, and cross-functional teams to support project success

  • Participate in hands-on training and stay up to date on machining trends and technology

What We’re Looking For:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering (or equivalent hands-on experience in machining)

  • 2+ years of experience in CNC applications, part processing, or machine setup

  • Proficient in CNC programming, tool selection, and interpreting technical drawings

  • Comfortable with different machining materials and basic metallurgy

  • Strong communication skills — able to collaborate with both technical and non-technical teams

  • Highly organized, self-motivated, and able to adapt to shifting priorities

  • Skilled in Microsoft Office tools (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

  • Analytical thinker and natural problem-solver with a hands-on mindset

If you’re ready to take your machining and engineering skills to the next level in a role where innovation meets execution, we’d love to hear from you.
