Payroll Projects and Systems Manager
LaSalle Network is partnering with a dynamic and growing organization to hire a Payroll Projects and Systems Manager to lead payroll systems innovation and optimization efforts. Based in Columbus, OH (hybrid) this role sits at the intersection of payroll, technology, and compliance—perfect for a systems-savvy leader who thrives on process improvement and collaboration across departments.

Payroll Projects and Systems Manager Responsibilities:
  • Lead payroll systems initiatives, from design to launch, including systems implementations, upgrades, and integrations with ADP Vantage, Kronos, and ServiceNow
  • Collaborate with Payroll, HRIS, Finance, Legal, and Tech teams to identify business needs, define project scope, and execute system enhancements
  • Develop and maintain payroll tech roadmaps; prioritize competing projects in partnership with the Payroll Director
  • Champion process re-engineering and integration excellence between Workday, Kronos, and payroll platforms
  • Lead and coach a high-performing team while cultivating a culture of innovation, accountability, and growth
  • Create and manage detailed documentation including project plans, use cases, data migration requirements, and QA/testing protocols
  • Stay ahead of compliance requirements and lead proactive system changes to support new tax and labor laws
  • Support RFP processes and vendor selection for new payroll/timekeeping tech solutions

Payroll Projects and Systems Manager Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 4–6 years of experience in payroll systems and project management
  • Strong understanding of payroll tax and multi-state payroll requirements
  • Hands-on experience with payroll system configuration, implementation, and onboarding
  • Proven leadership experience with a track record of building and inspiring teams
  • Deep Kronos knowledge and familiarity with ADP Vantage
  • Excellent analytical, documentation, and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with Jira a plus
  • Strong communicator who can bridge the technical and operational gap across stakeholders
