Platform Engineer

LaSalle Network is partnering with a global financial services firm that’s transforming its technology infrastructure—and we’re hiring a Platform Engineer to help lead that evolution. This is a hands-on, high-visibility role where you’ll shape how cloud environments are built, secured, and operated across the business.
If you're passionate about DevOps culture, Infrastructure as Code, and building platforms that empower developers to move faster and more securely, this role is for you.

Platform Engineer Responsibilities:

  • Design, build, and operate cloud and on-prem platforms that support rapid software delivery
  • Automate infrastructure provisioning and CI/CD workflows using modern tools and frameworks
  • Partner closely with developers and operations teams to improve collaboration and remove bottlenecks
  • Deliver scalable, secure environments in AWS or Azure—containerized, serverless, or both
  • Improve developer experience through tooling, documentation, and education
  • Define and enforce standards for IaC, CI/CD, and secure development lifecycle
  • Lead efforts to modernize infrastructure with a strong focus on governance and automation
  • Participate in on-call rotations, platform support, and occasional weekend maintenance
  • Stay current with DevOps and cloud trends and champion best practices across teams

What You Bring:
  • 5+ years of experience in Platform, DevOps, or Infrastructure Engineering—ideally in financial services
  • Deep experience building and supporting cloud-native applications (AWS or Azure)
  • Proficiency in Python or PowerShell scripting
  • Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and serverless architectures
  • Knowledge of tools like Ansible, Puppet, Terraform, Jenkins, and GitLab CI/CD
  • Familiarity with monitoring solutions (CloudWatch, Splunk, DataDog, Prometheus, Grafana)
  • Background in Linux systems engineering and/or development automation
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and collaboration skills
  • Agile mindset and experience with Scrum or Kanban methodologies

Bonus Points For:
  • Strong understanding of cloud security and governance in regulated industries
  • Exposure to enterprise architecture or cross-functional DevOps enablement
  • A passion for educating others and promoting a DevOps-first mindset

This is more than a support role—it's an opportunity to own the platform, drive modernization, and help the company scale securely and efficiently.
