Accounting Manager

About the Opportunity:
Our client, a multi-billion-dollar global manufacturing leader, is seeking a highly skilled Accounting Manager to oversee core accounting operations and lead a team in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. This is a critical leadership role with visibility across finance, operations, and senior management.

As a strategic staffing partner, we’re working directly with executive leadership to identify an experienced accounting professional who thrives in complex environments, has a strong command of U.S. GAAP, and is passionate about driving process improvement and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes in compliance with U.S. GAAP.

• Oversee general ledger accuracy, journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reporting.

• Manage, mentor, and develop a team of accountants and senior accountants.

• Collaborate with FP&A, operations, and plant finance teams on variance analysis and financial performance.

• Ensure internal controls are effective and support compliance with SOX requirements.

• Support audits, tax filings, and financial system upgrades or implementations.

• Identify and drive process improvements to streamline accounting workflows.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA strongly preferred.

• 6+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role.

• Prior experience in a large manufacturing or industrial company (preferably $500M+ revenue).

• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, internal controls, and SOX compliance.

• Proficient with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar) and advanced Excel capabilities.

• Excellent communication, leadership, and analytical skills.
