IT SOX Manager Responsibilities:
- Shape and steer the IT SOX control strategy as the organization evolves
- Oversee testing efforts, often working with third-party partners
- Act as the bridge between auditors, leadership, and business units
- Review and improve documentation such as narratives, RCMs, and flowcharts
- Help align the team with PCAOB and industry standards
- Support program administration tasks like scoping, reports, and tool enhancements
- Review vendor SOC 1 reports and their control implications
- 5–7 years of IT audit, SOX, or risk experience
- Degree in MIS, Computer Science, or relevant business/finance field
- Experience managing SOX testing efforts internally or via third parties
- Familiarity with ERP systems, M&A integrations, and internal control programs
- Financial services experience a plus, but not required
