Our client  in the private manufacturing space is seeking a highly skilled Year-End Tax Consultant to provide support during year-end close and reporting. This role will play a key part in ensuring accurate and timely preparation of tax provisions, disclosures, and related analyses. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical tax knowledge and the ability to operate in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

This contract is set to run from October 2025-April 2026. Pay rate ranges from $55-$90/hr. 

Responsibilities

  • Prepare North American year-end tax provisions.

  • Review international tax provisions prepared by an external accounting firm.
    (Note: this requires a clear understanding of tax provision mechanics, not specialized international tax expertise.)

  • Consolidate tax provisions and prepare related disclosures.

  • Calculate federal taxable income, including adjustments for depreciation, §174, §263A, and other relevant items.

  • Conduct miscellaneous analyses, including:

  • Preparation of state apportionment schedules.

  • Data gathering for personal property tax compliance.

  • Other ad hoc analyses as required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA preferred.

  • Minimum of 5 years of corporate tax experience, either in public accounting or an in-house tax department.

  • Strong knowledge of ASC 740 and tax provision preparation.

  • Familiarity with federal and state tax concepts, including depreciation, §174, and §263A.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities with accuracy and attention to detail.

  • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
